» CultureThe Rekugawa Clan «
Rekugawa. The Rekugawa were an elusive tribe that once belonged to the Kuga Clan. While mostly wiped out during the Witch Trials, some descendents managed to survive to modern day throughout the world.
Spiritual Beliefs. The Kugan clan was thought to have originated from Egypt, however their history even seems to precede the ancient culture since before nomadic tribes ventured to North America around the time of the Ice Age, hence the many mistaken references to Bastet in old texts and illustrations. Despite these references, the Kugan clan was not a deity worshipping culture. By respecting animal spirits, Kugans believed cats to be a sacred creature at the time. This is no longer the case in modern time, but descendants who have some semblance of their culture will know to revere greater animal spirits when compared with other Native American beliefs.

. Soldier of fortune.
A laughable fate, perhaps. That is, considering the circumstances that surrounded him when he was young. Just another unfortunate soul that got caught up in his deceased folk's debt and had to get his hands dirty. Gangs needed a runner, a spotter, and a scavenger. He did it all as long as he got the money to buy his next meal. By no means was he poor in spirit. No, of course not. Sure, you could say he was a street rat that just so happened to be smart enough to stay in school despite all the debt. He had to walk through the fire for what's important after all. A struggling individual that would eventually land himself in a crew. Oh? Did he mention that his name was Aki- no. It was Ladon Helfury now, live with it, boy.
His new world's watching every move. This wasn't a simple few shots for a loaf of bread anymore. One slip up, the late teen would get himself killed by the family. Living with them wasn't so bad, honestly. He was taught well, and given opportunities to increase his learning so as long he abides by their rules. In fact, a lot of the crew members didn't look down on his willingness to learn and achieve goals. They uplifted it.
Still, the world was dangerous, and the elites of the family would warn him time and again. Too bad not even a gun was enough to prepare him for a different reality. Perhaps he always saw them, mayhaps he chose to ignore them and pretend they were nonexistent. After all, who in their right mind would believe him when he said the snake had four eyes?
People called it his new pet snake, he saw it as a pest. A worm, really, but he lived with it. He wasn't by all means cruel to the Re'di Alla or whatever its name was. He just calls it a bunch of names while feeding it some treats--in his perspective, that was a normal pet owner. No matter his situation, though, he was still in the midst of the underground. That was do or die as an obligation. Did his situation shape who he was? Sure. That didn't mean he had to grow up an asshole, though. Besides, with the family looking for a new inheritor after the current head passed, he'd be one of the eventual candidates of boss some day. By that point, he'd already have been living with the snake spirit on his shoulder for a year or two. He got his debts paid off, he's raking in the money, hell he's even got an iron fist in his own little area of the underworld. Lindow was still too much of a mystery for him to even get started with magic, though. What it really came down to was getting the family to calm its shit and let him have his own coffee shop. That would at least give him some time dusting off the old book he had as a kid, seeing as it was his only real clue to the ridiculous reality he was living compared to everyone else. He just had to look into the occult, didn't he?
Well, if push comes to shove, he just had to make sure there's always one bullet in the chamber.
